Singing lessons also good for talking voice?

I am interested in improving my voice. I have looked for places that work on your voice but I only found one and it’s about an hour away.

My questions is, can my normal talking voice improve if i take singing lessons?

Yes, it can. By learning how to sing, you improve your projection, range, expression, and breath control (confidence too!) This is all good for your talking voice. By singing, you learn what range is comfortable for you, and this can be applied when you talk. Most people talk low in their register, which can be detrimental to the vocal chords, and it’s often hard to hear. With singing, you learn to use a natural range and you learn how to properly make yourself louder without yelling. There are many other benefits to singing that can be applied to your talking voice, you just have to find out on your own.

When should my daughter start singing lessons?

She is almost 6. We were told when she was 3 then again about 8 months ago from 2 different teaches that she has natural talent. She carries tunes well and is very clear in her words. She LOVES singing and wants to take lessons. I just don’t know what age to start.

If she is truly dedicated to singing, then start the lessons now. She is at the age where she can really learn well. It is like with any instrument, the people who have played since they were 5 are much better (generally) than those who start at a later age. For example, I started playing piano at age 14, I am decent, but no as good as people who started younger than me.

I, personally, think 6 is a good age to start at.

How do I tell my mom I want to take singing lessons?

I already take piano lessons, and my brothers take guitar lessons. I want to take singing lessons, but I don’t know how to ask my mom. I’m scared to ask because she is under a lot of stress right now. Her mom, my grandma, just died and my grandpa is in the hospital. She has a lot of stress from work. She works in the Emergency Room at the hospital, and she comes how mad or tired and stressed each day. How should I tell her I want to take singing lessons?

I personally do take voice lessons. The best way to do it is to find some one who could teach you. Find a few options, and research them. Then, one day when your mom isn’t too busy, tell her about them. Tell her how you want to take the lessons, and that you found all of these different teachers. Good luck!

How can I improve my singing without singing lessons?

I don’t usually sing, but the other day I was singing outloud and I thought no one was around when someone was! They recored my without me knowing and say I’m such a good singer. I don’t actually know if I am, because I never sing. I would like to get into singing though. How can I improve my singing without taking lessons?

"How can I improve my singing without taking lessons?"

Well, turn to me for advice! I did exactly this! I turned to books! Read those by professionals who wrote books, if you can stand them without dozing off. They are especially benificial in figuring how your voice works, what to do and what not to do. Of course, when seeking knowledge from books, it’s good to know a few good helpful singers :D

pm me if you need more info.
