Is there anywhere on the internet where i can get free singing lessons?
Hi. I was wondering if there was anywhere on the inernet where i could watch or download free singing lessons. I would go to the singing place and enrol in lessons but im already learning 2 instruments and doing modeling and tv ads and all that so mum says i can’t do it cuz we dont have enough time, so please, is there anywhere? Thanks.

What happens when you call the place for singing lessons?
When you call the singing lessons place for openings/register, what do they ask? I’m nervous. My parents SUCK at stuff like this, ha ha.
They ask
"when would you like to start"
and then they’ll ask
"Will that be check or cash"
They might ask what style you’ll want to learn, but that should be it.
Good luck and remember, you can’t always rely on your parents to get what you want, you gotta go get it yourself.

How do I get a singing teacher and should I start singing in a band before I get lessons?
I live in the UK, I’m in year 10 and they do singing lessons at my school, however I’ve asked for them several times with no result, I really want to learn to sing but I have no idea how to find a vocal coach, do you think I could start singing before I find one, or could that just be practising bad habbits? thanks x

What can I expect from getting singing lessons?
I am 15 years old and I’ve been looking into getting singing lessons. I’m not really sure what I can expect to learn. I was told I was a mezzo soprano a few years ago when I met with someone for singing, but this was when I was 11. Can my range or classification be different now that I am older? Will a coach help me to be able to sing louder and expand my range? Also, are there any genres that a vocal coach will typically make you start out with? Thanks for your help!
As a 22 year old vocal performance major, I can tell you that working with a private voice teacher will help you learn how to use the muscles around your vocal cords properly so as to avoid damage. Your muscles keep developing until your early 30s (seriously); case in point, I was a soprano one all through high school, and my sophomore year of college I started doing more mezzo pieces, and am now developing more in that lower range.
So yes, your range and classification can change as you get older; yes, your coach should teach you methods of singing that make your cords and muscles stronger, thereby expanding your range and making your singing voice louder. Each teacher will have a certain focus from which they will likely start teaching you; traditional teachers will start you will simple, classical italian pieces; teachers with a musical theater focus will begin from that repertoire, as will jazz teachers, pop teachers, etc. Your trick will be finding a teacher you click with who teaches the style of singing you are hoping to develope.
